Duties

Help
  • Leads DFAS recruitment and sourcing efforts serving as a talent acquisition and outreach specialist in the building and maintenance of a talent pipeline in support of Agency mission and strategic workforce needs.
  • Applies market specific strategies, utilizes online recruitment platforms, and builds relationships with public agencies, professional groups, industry and educational institution programs to access and attract quality talent pools.
  • Collaborates with agency leadership and mission areas to better understand the work and workforce requirements. Analyzes available HR talent acquisition flexibilities to recruit and appointment the highest quality candidates.
  • Leverages data and metrics to analyze workforce trends, talent sourcing demands, talent forecasts, and to determine effectiveness of recruitment efforts and overall success of agency talent acquisition strategy.
  • Partners with diversity and inclusion stakeholders, supervisors and HR staff to ensure equal employment opportunity and merit system principles are promoted and upheld.

Qualifications

One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-11) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.

Specialized experience is defined as administering a talent acquisition program that includes gathering and analyzing hiring and labor market data and metrics; developing talent sourcing and attraction strategies and plans to achieve required staffing levels for target positions or occupations in a business environment; and communicating program strategies and success to key stakeholders to gain buy-in and support. Resume must show examples of working with industry on-line talent sourcing platforms used to identify, attract and build talent pipelines.

Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

There is no substitution of education for specialized experience at this grade level.
